Floor Hockey

The program was introduced in 2006 to provide our ‘C’ level members with another program to participate in.  The floor hockey season starts the first Wednesday after Labour Day and runs through to the beginning of June.

The rules of floor hockey provide for a safe environment for all our participants. Proper equipment is mandatory and rules prohibit the stick from going above the waist at any time.  Practices take place Wednesday evening between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.  Participants spend the first part of the evening practicing their shooting, passing and stick-handling skills. This is followed by a 45 minute hockey game where we split the participants into two teams and enjoy some friendly competition.

If you know of someone who would be interested in participating in the floor hockey program, please have them call the ICHA office at (519) 977-1209 and leave their contact information.  Earl Larking, floor hockey coordinator, will get back to them and will answer any questions that they may have on the program.  Earl can also be reached via email at elarking@cogeco.ca
