We’re the Italian Canadian HandiCapable Association.
ICHA is a non-profit, charitible organization offering social and sporting activities to
individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities across Windsor and Essex County.
The ICHA began in 1977 at Glengarda School when Egidio Novelletto began a soccer program for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Since then, the ICHA has added many social and recreational programs, including activities and events designed to integrate our members into the community. In October of 2002, the ICHA opened the Novelletto Rosati Complex to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all people with a physical or intellectual disabilities.
ICHA social members participate in many out-of town soccer tournaments, and have traveled as a group across Ontario and through parts of the United States. Today, the ICHA is one of the largest organizations of its kind in Ontario. Thanks to the support of our donors, we continue to grow and provide quality programming to all our special members.

NOTICE OF EVENT CANCELLATION
Dear Members, Guests, Volunteers, Donors and Sponsors,
In times like these, it is important to understand that there are often situations beyond our control and gives pause to the fact that as a global community, we are working through a situation the likes of which we’ve never experienced.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, as outlined in Step 3 of the Ontario government’s reopening plan, the ICHA Board of Directors has decided to cancel the 2021 Fishing Derby. We understand the disappointment, but this is for all of our health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic.
The Board has also determined at this time to continue with the cancellation of IN-PERSON programs and will review the situation as it continues to unfold. Hopefully, government and health guidelines permitting, we can re-start in January 2022.
Virtual programs including TAE KWON DO, DANCE, YOGA and a new GAME Night will be offered starting in September.
Please follow our Facebook page and Instagram for further updates.
We thank you for your understanding as the ICHA Board makes this difficult decision to confront the spread of this virus. Until we meet again, stay safe.
Sincerely,
Loris Sanson, President of ICHA
